and beads, the guilloche and acanthus leaf-carved tripod base with leaf-carved toes and brass castors, 2ft. 5V2in. high by 2ft. 63Ain. diameter (75cm. by 78.5cm.) circa 1760.

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY PARTNERS’ DESK with a tooled leather top, three frieze drawers in each side and three drawers in each of the four pedestals, on plinth bases, 2ft. 8Vzin.

enclosing a chessboard and a draughtsboard, the second flap opening to reveal a baize-lined surface and a fitted well with a harlequin-action enclosing an arrangement of

drawers, the frieze and square chamfered legs carved with blind Chinese fret, on brass and leather castors, 2ft. 6′/2in. high by 2ft. Hin. wide (77cm. by 81cm.) circa 1765.

Armchair, the moulded serpentine toprails carved with leaves, with three conforming pierced crossbars with fluted uprights, dipped stuffed seats and square chamfered legs joined

forward, the drawer fitted with a writing slide and two drawers opening to the side, the sides and back similarly decorated with blind fret decoration, with blind fret decorated

and turned legs on brass castors, 2ft. 8V2in. high by 3ft. 6V2in. wide (82.5cm. by 108cm.) circa 1765.

A FINE PAIR OF GEORGE III GILTWOOD MIRRORS, the rectangular-shaped plate within a scrolled and moulded frame, the cresting formed of a spray of acanthus supported on double

scrolls and flanked by a pair of ho-ho birds, the sides carved with scrolls, foliage and bulrushes and with an acanthus leaf-carved scroll apron, 5ft. 2in. high by 2ft. 11m.

A GEORGE III CHINESE LACQUER COMMODE in the manner of Thomas Chippendale, the serpentine top with a gadrooned brass moulded rim above a pair of cupboard doors depicting trees,

flowers and animais in gilt on a black ground, outlined with brass mouldings, the sides similarly decorated and with ormolu mounted corners and splay bracket feet, 2ft. 93Ain.
