mounted with a Chinaman cresting, a bird with outspread wings below the dial and shell-
work and scroll feet, 23in. high (58cm.), repeating zoork removed, and a matching ogee
bracket faced with an oriental mask, 5lMn. high (14cm.), base mount missing, circa 1740.

A GOOD Louis XV CONTREBOULLE CLOCK AND BRACKET, the gilt dial with blue
enamel numerals and well chiselled hands, the movement with vase-shaped pillars,
outside numbered count wheel and verge escapement with silk suspension and cvcloidal
cheeks, the backplate signed Fiacre Clement A Paris, the case stamped B. Lieutaud and
inlaid in stained bone with polvchrome spravs of flowers, with rococo mounts composed
of shellwork and foliate scrolls and with an eagle below the dial, 26Vzin. high (67ст.), and
a matching ogee Bracket, 12V2in. high (32cm.), mid-18th Century.

A Louis XV BEECHWOOD FAUTEUIL, the moulded toprail carved with a shell,
with a caned cartouche-shaped back, downcurved scrolling arms carved with acanthus
leaves, a studded leather squab cushion and caned seat with a carved apron on scrolling
cabriole legs carved with cabochons at the knees, circa 1735.

A Louis XV BOULLE BRACKET CLOCK AND BRACKET, the chased gilt dial with
blue enamel chapters and delicately modelled hands, the movement signed Munier А
Paris and with verge escapement and outside numbered count wheel, the case inlaid on а
dark shell ground with engraved foliate scrolls and flowerheads and with richly modelled
ormolu mounts including a seated goddess as cresting and a figure holding a book below
the dial, some of the mounts stamped with the crowned С poingon, 35′Мп. high (90cm.),
and a matching ogee Bracket stamped Marchand and with female masks at the corners and
an unusual bearded mask below, high (34cm.), circa 1745.

panels of stamped leather decorated in polychrome with

the front with seven drawers faced with nine panels
inlaid with figures, birds and elephants surrounded by
foliage, 15V2in. high by 23V2in. zvide (39cm. by 60cm.) early
18th Century.

ANOTHER, the back and seat with a two-headed
eagle and other birds, the arms of unusual twin scroll
form, the legs similar to the preceding lot, mid-17th
Century.

A PAINTED PINEWOOD LOOKING-GLASS, the rec-
tangular plate contained in a moulded frame with tall
arched cresting decorated in imitation of lacquer, 2ft. 4in.
high (71cm.) late 17th/early 18th Century, probably Scandi-
navian.

A PAIR OF SPANISH WALNUT CHAIRS with shaped leather-covered backs and seats stamped with trees and flowers and scrollwork, with moulded arms on inverted cabriole supports, the

seatrails carved with leaves and raised on cabriole legs, early 18th Century.

(79cm. by 120cm.) the top formed from a late 17th Century cabinet door, drawer missing.

A PORTUGUESE EBONY-VENEERED CHEST with an
arrangement of nine drawers above two drawers, the
whole of the front, top and sides applied with waved
mouldings, 3ft. 4in. high by 3ft. 4in. wide (102cm. by 102cm.)
late nih/early 18th Century, on later ogee bracket feet,
formerly with a stand.

A GOOD PAIR OF VENETIAN JAPANNED CHAIRS,
the waisted cartouche-shaped backs with pierced splats
and cresting, the stuffed serpentine seat with pierced
seatrail and raised on cabriole legs with scroll feet,
decorated throughout with chinoiserie ligures and
flowers and with carved giltwood mouldings on a scarlet
ground, mid-18th Century.

A GOOD LIEGEOIS CARVED ARMOIRE ON STAND, the serpentine top with an applied carved and pierced rococo cresting above a pair of conforming fielded doors carved with rocailles,

the sides with similar simpler rectangular panels and with a frieze drawer below, on six inverted baluster-shaped legs joined by moulded X-stretchers, 8ft. 6in. high by 6ft.

A MAHOGANY CUPBOARD, with an arched moulded
cornice and a pair of panelled doors, 4ft. 2in. high by
3ft. lin. wide (127cm. by 94cm.) circa 1770, possibly Portu-
guese, the cornice with later finials, originally with a

A Louis XV WALNUT BOW-FRONTED STANDING CORNER CUPBOARD, the pair of doors with shaped fielded panels, on scroll feet, 6ft. 8′/гт. high by 2ft. Win. wide (204cm. by 87cm.)

A NEAPOLITAN PARQUETRY COMMODE in quarter-

restoration, top possibly re-veneered.

A WALNUT FAUTEUIL with a moulded padded spade
shaped back, padded arms and the serpentine fronted
seatrail on square tapering legs headed by paterae, circa
1780, probably Dutch.

faced with dentil moulding and centred by an urn, above
a pair of panelled doors faced with portrait roundels,
urns and paterae and enclosing shelves and small
drawers, the lower part with three long drawers, the
