A GOOD FLEMISH CARVED WALNUT ARMCHAIR, the
back with a scroll-carved cresting and triple splat com-
posed of scrolls and leaves, with turned supports,’richly
carved leafy arms, stuffed seat, turned legs and stretchers
and scrolled front stretcher, late 17th Century, with
restoration.

A WROUGHT-IRON ARMADA CHEST, now painted with flowers on a blue background, Ift. 2in. high by 2ft. 3in. zvide (36cm. by 68.5cm.) late 17th Century.

A FLEMISH ROSEWOOD-VENEERED CABINET ON STAND,
the pair of crossbanded doors each with a ten-lobed
roundel and enclosing shelves with drawers, on spiral-
twist legs joined by spirally twisted stretchers, 6ft. 6V2in.
high by 5ft. lOin. wide (199cm. by 178cm.) late 17th

panels of stamped leather decorated in polychrome with
urns, fiowers and strapwork, each fold 5ft. lin. high by
2ft. 2in. wide (155cm. by 66cm.) leather: Italian or Flemish,
circa 1700; and a single Panel of stamped and painted
floral and coral leather mounted in a frame with a
serpentine top, 2ft. 5in. high by lft. 9′/2in. wide (73cm. by

AN INDIAN HARDWOOD TABLE CABINET, the top
with moulded borders and inlaid with brass stringing,
the front with seven drawers faced with nine panels
inlaid with figures, birds and elephants surrounded by
foliage, 15V2in. high by 23V2in. zvide (39cm. by 60cm.) early
18th Century.

ANOTHER, the back and seat with a two-headed
eagle and other birds, the arms of unusual twin scroll
form, the legs similar to the preceding lot, mid-17th
Century.

A PAINTED PINEWOOD LOOKING-GLASS, the rec-
tangular plate contained in a moulded frame with tall
arched cresting decorated in imitation of lacquer, 2ft. 4in.
high (71cm.) late 17th/early 18th Century, probably Scandi-
navian.

A PAIR OF SPANISH WALNUT CHAIRS with shaped leather-covered backs and seats stamped with trees and flowers and scrollwork, with moulded arms on inverted cabriole supports, the

seatrails carved with leaves and raised on cabriole legs, early 18th Century.

ANOTHER, the back with a coat of arms and the
inscription Augustin Gil de la Puerta Conde Duque de
Olibares Generales Imo de las Caballerias del Rei Porto
San S…, with flat arms, the seat stamped with armoriai
trophies and the legs with chip carving and shaped front

drawer and the baluster legs joined by plain waved
H-stretchers, 2ft. 5in. high by 3ft. lin. wide (74cm. by
94cm.) circa 1700.

A FLEMISH OAK DRAW-LEAF TABLE, the frieze with a shaped underside, raised on plain inverted balus-ter legs joined by moulded stretchers, 2ft. 7′Mn. high by 5ft. 9in.

turned legs joined by flat stretchers on bun feet, 2ft. 5in. high by 3ft. Vhin. wide (74cm. by 95.5cm.) circa 1700, the drawer fitted as a writing drawer probably later in the

18th Century.

A FLEMISH PARQUETRY TABLE in oyster-veneered kingwood and other woods, the top inlaid with a circular star and diamond medallion with similar spandrels and a giant oval

medallion, the frieze similarly inlaid and raised on square tapering legs joined by waved X-stretchers with a central inlaid circular panel, 2ft. 7in. high by 3ft. Hin. wide

(79cm. by 120cm.) the top formed from a late 17th Century cabinet door, drawer missing.

A PORTUGUESE EBONY-VENEERED CHEST with an
arrangement of nine drawers above two drawers, the
whole of the front, top and sides applied with waved
mouldings, 3ft. 4in. high by 3ft. 4in. wide (102cm. by 102cm.)
late nih/early 18th Century, on later ogee bracket feet,
formerly with a stand.

A GOOD PAIR OF VENETIAN JAPANNED CHAIRS,
the waisted cartouche-shaped backs with pierced splats
and cresting, the stuffed serpentine seat with pierced
seatrail and raised on cabriole legs with scroll feet,
decorated throughout with chinoiserie ligures and
flowers and with carved giltwood mouldings on a scarlet
ground, mid-18th Century.
