1750.

A Louis XV BEECHWOOD FAUTEUIL with moulded
flower-carved frame, stuffed back, padded arms, stuffed
seat and cabriole legs, mid-18th Century, covered in blue
and white floral needlework.

A FLEMISH WALNUT COMMODE, the moulded top with slightly shaped front, the two long drawers each inlaid with stringing, on cabriole legs with pieds de biche, 2ft. TMn. high by

3ft. lin. wide (80cm. by 94cm.) mid-18th Century, interior extensively re-constructed.

A GOOD WALNUT FIRE-SCREEN, the cross-grained
moulded frame carved with flowerheads and foliage at
the top and base, on short cabriole legs, 4ft. l’hin. high
by 3ft. 5in. wide (126cm. by 104cm.) circa 1755, possibly
German.

A GOOD LIEGEOIS CARVED ARMOIRE ON STAND, the serpentine top with an applied carved and pierced rococo cresting above a pair of conforming fielded doors carved with rocailles,

the sides with similar simpler rectangular panels and with a frieze drawer below, on six inverted baluster-shaped legs joined by moulded X-stretchers, 8ft. 6in. high by 6ft.

7in. wide (259cm. by 201cm.) mid-18th Century, stand replaced

entre Meuse et Rhin illustrates an armoire of similar
form as plate 320.

A DUTCH MAHOGANY CYLINDER BUREAU with fitted
interior, the serpentine bombe lower part with three
drawers, on splayed feet, 3ft. 8′/2in. high by 3ft. 8V2in.
wide (113cm. by 113cm.) circa 1770.

A MAHOGANY CUPBOARD, with an arched moulded
cornice and a pair of panelled doors, 4ft. 2in. high by
3ft. lin. wide (127cm. by 94cm.) circa 1770, possibly Portu-
guese, the cornice with later finials, originally with a
lower part.

A Louis XV WALNUT BOW-FRONTED STANDING CORNER CUPBOARD, the pair of doors with shaped fielded panels, on scroll feet, 6ft. 8′/гт. high by 2ft. Win. wide (204cm. by 87cm.)

mid-18th Century, extensively re-built.

A Louis XVI PROVINCIAL GILTWOOD LOOKING-
GLASS, with an arched rectangular plate, the mirrored
border with narrow gilt mouldings and with scroll and
leaf cresting, 2ft. 2lhin. high by lft. 6in. wide (67cm. by
46cm.) circa 1775.

AN EARLY LOUIS XVI PROVINCIAL WALNUT MINIA¬TURE ARMOIRE, with moulded arched top, fluted frieze, the conforming door with four glass panels, above a fluted drawer and scroll

legs, with pine sides, 3ft. 3in. high by 2ft. 3in. wide (99cm. by 69cm.) circa 1780.

A NORTH ITALIAN WALNUT POUDREUSE, the hinged
top inlaid in satinwood with ebony stringing and enclos-
ing a fitted interior with a plain frieze, on turned fluted
tapering legs headed by paterae, 2ft. 6in. high by 2ft. 5in.
wide (76cm. by 74cm.) late 18th Century.

A NEAPOLITAN PARQUETRY COMMODE in quarter-
veneered kingwood and with a serpentine front and
shaped sides, the three graduated long drawers in
quarter-veneered wood and with chequered borders and
medaillons picked out in mother-o’-pearl, the sides similarly
inlaid, with a shaped apron and splayed legs, 3ft. 21hin.
high by 4ft. 6in. wide (97cm. by 138cm.) circa 1770, with
restoration, top possibly re-veneered.

A WALNUT FAUTEUIL with a moulded padded spade
shaped back, padded arms and the serpentine fronted
seatrail on square tapering legs headed by paterae, circa
1780, probably Dutch.

A DUTCH MAHOGANY ARMOIRE, the broken pediment
faced with dentil moulding and centred by an urn, above
a pair of panelled doors faced with portrait roundels,
urns and paterae and enclosing shelves and small
drawers, the lower part with three long drawers, the
apron carved with interlaced foliage, raised on fluted
feet, 8ft. lin. high by 5ft. 9in. wide (246cm. by 175.5cm.)
circal780.

A DUTCH MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE A ABATTANT
with a frieze drawer, fall front and a pair of doors, with
fluted canted corners and feet, 4ft. 8in. high by 2ft. U’Mn.
wide (142cm. by 90cm.) circa 1780.

A Louis XV PROVINCIAL INLAID ELMWOOD CHEST, the moulded top, the front with foin* fielded panels, inlaid with simple foliate designs in light and dark wood out-lined with brass

studs, 2ft. 3in. high by 5ft. luin. (68cm. by 178cm.) circa 1770, possibly Breton.
