A Louis XV BEECHWOOD FAUTEUIL, the moulded toprail carved with a shell,
with a caned cartouche-shaped back, downcurved scrolling arms carved with acanthus
leaves, a studded leather squab cushion and caned seat with a carved apron on scrolling
cabriole legs carved with cabochons at the knees, circa 1735.

A Louis XV BOULLE BRACKET CLOCK AND BRACKET, the chased gilt dial with
blue enamel chapters and delicately modelled hands, the movement signed Munier А
Paris and with verge escapement and outside numbered count wheel, the case inlaid on а
dark shell ground with engraved foliate scrolls and flowerheads and with richly modelled
ormolu mounts including a seated goddess as cresting and a figure holding a book below
the dial, some of the mounts stamped with the crowned С poingon, 35′Мп. high (90cm.),
and a matching ogee Bracket stamped Marchand and with female masks at the corners and
an unusual bearded mask below, high (34cm.), circa 1745.
