plate, the frieze applied in giltwood with classical figures
preparing a sacrifice to the Gods and flanked by swags,
the sides with reeded columns with entwined ribbons
and headed by lozenge and leaf capitals, 7ft. 5′/2in. high
by 3ft. 5in. wide (227cm. by 104cm.) circa 1810, German
or Danish.
AN OAK BED FRAME with scroll ends of unequal height each with an ebonised moulding ending in an ebonised ram’s head, on unusual inverted conical legs, 2ft. 6′/2in. high by 7ft.
long by 2ft. 73Ain. zoide (77cm. by 213cm. by 80.5cm.) interior measurement 6ft. by 2ft. 6in. wide (183cm. by 76cm.) circa 1810, possibly Viennese.
AN ANGLO-INDIAN TEAK TOILET TABLE, the hinged
top now lined with a mirror and enclosing numerous
compartments, the front with a frieze drawer, a pair of
doors and another drawer and ail inlaid with ivory and
ebony stringing, on short turned legs, 2ft. 8in. high by

A GILTWOOD PIER GLASS, the rectangular divided
plate flanked by a pair of spirally fluted leaf-capped
columns, the pediment with a semi-circular recessed
arch decorated with leaves and egg and dart mouldings,
6ft. 4in. high by 3ft. Vhin. wide (193cm. by 95cm.) circa
1820, probably Swedish.
ANOTHER similar in satinwood, 3ft. 8in. high by
3ft. 6in. wide by 6ft. 9in. long (112cm. by 107cm. by 206cm.)
circa 1825.

raised moulded edge with a reeded frieze, on a circular
reeded pillar and concave-sided square base continuing
to the down-scrolled legs, 4ft. 8in. diameter (142cm.)
circa 1820, German.
A SET OF FOUR MAHOGANY CHAIRS, the padded backs with curved toprails, downswept supports, with bow-fronted drop-in seats, slightly sabre front legs, possibly German, second
quarter 19th Century.

A REGENCY BLACK-JAPANNED ARMCHAIR, the curved back filled with diamond trellis and the outcurved arms on baluster supports, the almost circular caned seat raised on circular
tapering legs, decorated throughout with gilt flowers on a black ground, circa 1805, with squab cushion.
A PAIR OF MAHOGANY COASTERS of unusual form, each moulded gallery inlaid with a brass line and raised on fourteen spirally fluted pillars with moulded circular bases, 6Van. high
by 9in. wide (16cm. by 23cm.) late 18th/early 19th Century.
A GOOD REGENCY PONTYPOOL PAINTED TRAY finely decorated with a Romantic scene of a wounded classical warrior in his tent with his beloved kissing a wound on his arm, with
distraught female attendants and soldiers behind the opening of the tent, the rectangular rim with rounded corners and painted with a gilt trellis, lft. 93Ain. by 2ft. 6in.
(55cm. by 76cm.) circa 1805.
AN IMPORTANT SET OF EIGHT REGENCY DECORATED ARMCHAIRS, the rectangular toprail with turned finials above a brass laurel and berry swag, the downswept arms with scroll handles
and shaped supports to a caned seat on panelled seatrail and sabre legs, panelled in gilt and outlined with blue decoration, circa 1800.
A RARE SET OF FOUR GEORGE III YEWWOOD GOTHIC ARMCHAIRS, the moulded arched backs filled with three Gothic pierced and carved splats with outset arms and turned supports with
saddle-shaped seats, the cabriole legs with pierced scrolled ear brackets joined by a crinoline stretcher, late 18th Century.
An identical example from the Victoria and Albert Museum is illustrated in Chippen-dale Furniture by Anthony Coleridge, plate 157.

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHAMBER HORSE, the high moulded back with pierced splats, the turned arms with two urn-finial pole supports, the sprung seat anchored by a bar between two
retaining dowels, on a platform base and square chamfered legs, 5ft. tain. high by 2ft. 4in. wide (153cm. by 71cm.) circa 1800.
A GOOD GEORGE III SERPENTINE-FRONTED MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD of pale colour with a silver drawer above an arch and a deep drawer at each side, on six tapering legs of square and
diamond section, 4ft. Whin, wide (148cm.).
A GEORGE III ROSEWOOD SEMI-CIRCULAR COMMODE, the top centred by an inlaid beechwood patera, crossbanded in satinwood and painted with ribbon-tied swags of flowers and foliage
and with a flowerhead-embossed brass rim, the frieze painted with ivy leaves and punctuated with oval medallions of classical figures in bead frames and cross-banded in
satinwood, above a pair of crossbanded and painted doors, on square tapered blind fluted legs, 2ft. Hin. high by 3ft. 4V2In. wide (89cm. by 103cm.) circa 1790, the inlaid patera
later.
A GOOD REGENCY PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT ARMCHAIR with overscrolled back with leaf-carved supports, padded arms with winged Victory supports, with a loose cushion and caned seat
on goats’ legs and hoof feet, circa 1810.
